2015 & 2016

Majulah Belanja literally translates to “Onward, To Treat”, where everyone gets the chance to treat themselves to an experience like no other! It is an organized brunch between locals and migrant workers held at a migrant worker dormitory. We hope to use this opportunity to celebrate our vibrant food culture and through food raise more awareness and understanding of migrant workers and their culture. Singaporeans had the chance to experience lives and food of various groups of migrants as they cook and dine together with a host of migrant workers. Together, more than 7 different nationalities cooked, ate and fostered a sense of community and comradeship.
